Who We Are
The Aims of Save Our Stockbridge
The aim of Save Our Stockbridge is to provide and impart to the community of Stockbridge information and advice, and if appropriate to take collective action to protect the village of Stockbridge and its community from any harmful threat posed by any development/s, or action/s of any kind wherever they may be to either its population, and/or its heritage, and/or its economy and/or its physical environment in the absence of any other organisation so doing comprehensively, impartially and informatively.
Our History
Save Our Stockbridge was formed in 2018 to fight the proposed development by McCarthy & Stone on our historic water meadows. The development did not go ahead much to our and our community's relief and we have continued to work to keep Stockbridge a special place since. Our committee members are Jean Boney (Chair), Chantal Halle (Secretary and Treasurer), Michael Woodall, Elizabeth Miller and Alex Lawrence.
